Use Green Printers for Helping Our Mother Earth

It's now time for books to beat a retreat! This might sound ridiculous to most of us. But given the present scenario, it is not so absurd after all. More books mean more cutting of trees and greater environmental pollution on account of the release of harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Commercial printers have contributed immensely to the detrimental health of the planet. Not only have they consumed priceless forests, the VOCs released on their part are widely known to cause cancers, cardiovascular diseases and even birth defects.

The current scenario is just a prelude of the impending dangers that we have to confront in the near future. It's not that commercial printing houses are solely responsible but they certainly hold a certain share of responsibility towards growing environmental pollution. Now is the time for all businesses to go green. The buzz of green printing has been making waves for a long time and is now being widely adopted by printing houses. Aimed to put a check on harmful emissions as well as increasing use of tree pulp, green printer holds the future for a greener cheerful Earth.

VOCs are most commonly found in paint thinners, dry cleaning solvents, gasoline and natural gas. Increasing proportion of VOCs can destroy soil and groundwater. As air pollutants, VOCs occur as methane and non-methane. Methane, better known as greenhouse gas, is the major cause of global warming and ozone depletion. The rapid depletion of ozone from the stratosphere is exposing our planet to the greater hazards of UV rays. Sunburns, skin diseases, skin cancer, and respiratory problems are some of the consequences of rapid ozone depletion.
